Fencing Club at UW-Madison: Social Media Management
I managed FCUW's Instagram account (@fencingclubuw) from 2021 to 2023. As Tournament & Event Coordinator for the club in my senior year, I had direct control and leadership over the club's social media accounts and marketing. On the right is the style guide I created to help FCUW maintain brand consistency. The FCUW Instagram almost doubled in followers during the 2022-2023 season, and the page also had more interactions, comments, likes, and shares during that time.
The club also increased its recruitment and fundraising efforts starting in the fall of 2021. I designed 2 posters, advertising it to new members in the fall semester; printing and posting the flyers in the student unions, dorms, and other academic buildings. I also created promotional flyers for members to share to promote club fundraisers. Along with photo only posts, the Instagram page contains 3 main types of designed posts: informational posts, promotional flyers, and tournament results and updates.
